My biggest lesson from diving
We all have a dream.
Mine has been scuba diving since I was a little girl. During the socialist era, there weren’t dive studios on every corner, so I at least became a competitive swimmer for a few years. And my grandfather used to read me books about amazing whales.
Years passed, my children came into my life, and many other beautiful and important things happened… but the dream remained.
About 20 years ago, I returned to it.
I got my license and started diving in seas and oceans around the world. And it was beyond anything I could have imagined.
In the deep blue, I felt at home. No stress, just peace and freedom and absolute delight in the splendor that was below the water.
At one point I felt the need to share this beauty with my loved ones back home, so I started taking photos. I wasn’t good at it at all. And suddenly there was a lot of stress.
Instead of looking around in awe at the endless mind-blowing underwater world, I was staring into a small square trying to catch a “good shot”.
It took me a few years.
And then I threw the camera away. The best pictures are the ones we take straight into our hearts anyway.
And there’s nothing better than pure presence. Just be in awe…😍
And this is true not only under the water.
Let’s be amazed by the miracle of life today, my friends.
