Communication Training Under Pressure
That moment when something unpleasant happens… and you have no idea what to say.
Your heart races. Your body tenses up. Your mind is in chaos and paralyzed.
AND THEN?
We leave the conversation frustrated, angry, exhausted.
We talk ABOUT THEM (the person whose behavior we don’t like) instead of talking TO THEM.
HOW TO BREAK THIS PATTERN?
In our Communication Skills workshops, we train conscious communication under pressure. Just like we’ve been doing for the second Friday in a row with the CTU IT team. I don’t have a photo – you can probably guess that IT folks don’t like being photographed, and I don’t like forcing them😃. But I love that moment when we try out, together for the first time, a practical recipe for navigating tough conversations.
Suddenly, we see the difference:
✅Clear structure – we know what to say and how to say it.
✅Better feeling in the body – we’re not frozen or attacking, but calmer.
✅Stronger relationships and better outcomes – the other person is much more willing to listen and cooperate, instead of getting defensive.
I won’t lie. It’s not easy. But with a bit of practice and patience, it’s a huge step forward in quality.
💡Curious about what this recipe looks like?
The basic outline is in the attached carousel:
1. Describe what’s happening
2. Say clearly how it affects you – your feelings and your performance
3. Suggest what could help things work better
4. Invite the other person to collaborate
Take a look and try it out. Of course, there’s more to it, but even this… Could this kind of structure help in your daily communication? 👇
It’s brought fantastic results for me – at home with my husband and kids, and with clients at work😃.
